We collect precise location data continuously during active trips. Background location access is required to maintain uninterrupted trip tracking, ensure route accuracy, support safety monitoring, and prevent incomplete logs. Tracking automatically stops when the trip ends.
- Camera Access: Used only to capture verification photos (e.g., start and end of a trip).
- Device Information: Model, OS version, app version, and basic diagnostics to improve reliability and security.
- Google Maps SDK: Used for map rendering and geolocation features. Google may collect anonymous diagnostic data as described in their privacy policy.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To verify and manage driver trips.
- To provide real-time tracking to authorized within your organization.
- To improve service reliability, route accuracy, and operational safety.
- To troubleshoot performance issues and enhance user experience.
- We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.
3. Data Sharing
Your data is shared only with authorized personnel within your organization and secure backend systems. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third-party advertisers.

4. Data Retention
We retain trip and location data only temporarily for operational purposes. Once no longer required, the data is securely deleted in accordance with our retention policy and applicable regulations.

- Restricted internal access using role-based controls.
- Secure database handling with limited retention.

6. Background Location Use
IPL-VLTS collects location data even when the app is closed or not in use, but only while an active trip is in progress. This is required for:
- Accurate and uninterrupted route tracking,
- Driver and fleet safety,
- Operational monitoring and reporting,
- Preventing incomplete or manipulated trip logs.
Once the trip ends, background location tracking automatically stops.
